The ENS pursues the idea of cooperative research, teaching and administration. Scientific and administrative staff meet at eye level and as members of the ENS community. Research staff pursue their individual projects independently of chair structures and outside of formal hierarchies. At ENS, it is ideas, not hierarchies, that matter.
The Chair for Information Management and Digital Transformation is looking for a Student / Research Assistant with a Bachelor's degree (or comparable) for 5h/ week with an up to one year contract.
For a new research project on the German Bundestag elections 2021, we are looking for 5 Student / Research Assistants (10h/ week each, limited until 31 December 2021, possible extension until 30 March 2022). The project is a cooperation of the ENS Chair for Digital Democracy and the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society in Berlin.
Your task will be to observe the activities of the political parties in the Bundestag and the state parliament election campaigns as well as after the elections on social media, to learn and conduct simple data analyses and to regularly write and publish short articles about them. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team, have flexible working hours, be able to do all your work from home or our coworking space, and get to know numerous project partners in Germany and around the world, extending your personal and professional network.
Join our team as an Assistant (part-time, 50%) assigned to the Head of Administration of the ENS. We are looking for a person who has strong communication skills, is open to new ideas and interested in other cultures, and can organize his/her work area independently. Your tasks will include general administrative and organizational tasks, correspendence in English, German and Polish, financial management support as well as the management and coordination of internal and external processes and committees.
The opening is a part-time position with 20h/week (TVL 6, optional allowance up to TVL 8).
The Adam Mickiewicz University Poznan (AMU), one of the leading academic and research centers in Poland, is looking for an Assistant Professor at Collegium Polonicum Słubice, a joint entity established by the AMU and the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder). The position with a focus on digital society, management and enterrprise is associated with the ENS. Activities will thus mainly focus on teaching (in English) and contributing to the research and teaching activities within the Master of Digital Entrepreneurship (MoDE).
