Suzette Kahlert (M.A.) is part of Jan Passoth’s STS research group at the ENS, thus working as a researcher at Viadrina’s chair for sociology of technology. To her tasks belongs investigating algorithmic decision making and content curation of online media platforms for project “DataSkop”, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Her PhD research focuses on invisibilities, especially in the context of infrastructures building and “decentralized” networks. She was a member of the doctoral college “Privacy and Trust for Mobile Users”. She has studied sociology, gender studies, comparative literature, philosophy and German language at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) Munich. Her research focuses on (digital) infrastructures, digitization and in/visibities, artificial intelligence, online activism, and qualitative methods.
